INTERNACIONALIZATION
INTERNATIONALIZATION: A PILLAR OF THE MASTER'S PROGRAM IN PRODUCTIVE SYSTEMS
We believe that internationalization is essential for the growth and global recognition of our Graduate Program in Productive Systems (PPGSP). That is why we invest in partnerships and collaborations with leading educational and research institutions worldwide, fostering a globalized and innovative learning environment.
A Success Story: Partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBEJA)
In January 2023, Professor Cristina Keiko Yamaguchi led a significant internationalization initiative, teaching the Entrepreneurship course in the Master’s Program in Community Development and Entrepreneurship at IPBEJA, Portugal, alongside Professors Dr. Maria José Dias Carocinho Sousa and Dr. Maria Inês Faria.
Professor Cristina was responsible for organizing, mobilizing, and overseeing eight PPGSP students representing UNIPLAC, UNC, UNESC, and UNIVILLE, who participated as exchange students, experiencing an unforgettable academic and cultural journey.
Academic Mobility: A Transformative Experience
Our partnerships take shape through academic mobility programs that provide students and faculty with opportunities for enriching exchange experiences at other institutions. This international experience:
- Expands horizons: Enhances academic training by offering new perspectives and approaches in Productive Systems.
- Promotes cultural exchange: Facilitates immersion in different cultures, fostering understanding and respect for diversity.
- Strengthens international networking: Enables valuable connections with researchers and professionals from various parts of the world.
Experiencing Local Culture and Business
Beyond the academic experience, international mobility offers complete immersion in the local culture. Our students had the opportunity to:
- Explore regional cuisine, tasting traditional dishes and discovering the authentic flavors of the region.
- Understand the local business environment, analyzing entrepreneurial practices and the characteristics of the regional market.
- Interact with the local community, establishing bonds with residents and experiencing the culture up close.
